As the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the series, Longines is proud to have timed the victory of Ben Maher riding Explosion W in the weekend’s highlight trial, the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Rome. The English rider finished ahead of Marlon Módolo Zanotelli on VDL Edgar M and Ludger Beerbaum on Cool Feeling, who secured the second and third place respectively. Longines Italy Brand Manager Fabrizio Giaccon presented Ben Maher with an elegant Longines timepiece as a reward for his great performance.
This victory handed him one of the last golden tickets to the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix, where he will line up against the winners of the previous legs. Indeed, the winners of the previous legs will be invited to compete in the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix, staged in the famous Czech capital Prague, to decide who will come out on top of the world’s best athletes.
